Green Kiwano Ornamental Fruit – Cucumis metuliferus

Add an unusual, sculptural touch to your home with this green Kiwano ornamental fruit, also known as horned melon or African horned cucumber. Its distinctive green colouring and naturally spiky texture create an eye-catching display that works beautifully in seasonal arrangements, decorative bowls or as a standalone botanical accent.

With its exotic appearance, the Kiwano is a simple way to bring character and conversation to a dining table, sideboard, hallway or festive display. It is especially well suited to autumn and All Saints’ arrangements, adding shape and texture alongside foliage, flowers and other decorative fruits. Display it indoors in a cool, dry position away from direct heat and handle gently to protect its textured surface. This unusual ornamental fruit also makes a thoughtful choice for anyone who enjoys distinctive natural décor.
